전북 김제시가 새만금 '신항만'과 '동서도로'행정구역 확보에 총력을 기울이고 있는 가운데 시민 인식 확산 및 의지 결집에 폭발력을 높이기 위해 지난 24일 대응 전략 마련 용역 최종보고회와 학술 세미나를 개최했다.

 

이날 문화예술회관 소공연장에서 열린 최종보고회 및 정책 세미나에 정성주 시장을 비롯 김제시의회 김영자 의장ㆍ새만금미래김제시민연대 강병진 위원장 및 전문가와 시민 등 300여명이 참석한 가운데 시기(市旗)를 선두로 대형 구호 깃발 입장 퍼포먼스와 용역 최종보고회ㆍ정책 세미나 등의 순으로 진행됐다.

 

정성주 시장은 이 자리에서 "새만금 신항만 및 동서도로 관할권을 확보해 새만금 해양 중심도시로 힘차게 도약해 나아갈 수 있도록 힘을 모으자"고 당부했다.
