전북자치도 정읍시가 신용 문제로 어려움을 겪는 청년들이 경제적 부담에서 벗어나 역량을 펼칠 수 있도록 '청년 학자금대출 연체자 신용 회복'을 지원한다.

 

정읍시는 학자금 상환 부담으로 사회 진입부터 어려움을 겪는 청년들이 자립할 수 있도록 2022년부터 시행하고 있는 신용 회복 지원사업을 올해도 중단없이 추진한다고 27일 밝혔다.

 

'청년 학자금대출 연체자 신용 회복'은 한국장학재단에서 학자금을 대출받은 뒤 장기 연체로 신용 위기에 놓인 청년들에게 분할 상환 약정 체결에 필요한 초입금(채무 원금 10%ㆍ1인당 최대 100만원)을 지원하는 것이 골자다.

 

한국장학재단은 이를 통해 신용도 판단 정보를 해제하고 연체이자(지연배상금)를 감면해 준다.

 

분할 상환 기간은 채무액에 따라 최대 20년까지 가능하다.

 

올해부터는 초입금 지원율을 기존 5%에서 10%로 상향 운영해 10% 전액을 납부하면 지연배상금 전액을 감면받을 수 있다.

 

지원 대상은 공고일 기준 정읍시에 1년 이상 주민등록을 두고 18세 이상 45세 이하로 한국장학재단에 신용도 판단 정보가 등록된 청년이다.

 

신청은 오는 11월 말까지며 일자리경제과를 방문하거나 이메일로 신청하면 된다.

 

신용도 등록 여부는 한국장학재단 신용 회복 지원 상담센터에서 확인할 수 있으며 지원 사업에 따른 기타 문의는 청년지원팀에서 안내받을 수 있다.
