Baeksan-myeon, Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do is the hometown of Jeonju Mayor Woo Beom-gi and Buan-gun head Kwon Ik-hyeon strengthened exchanges and cooperation between the two local governments by donating so-called 'Pumasi' to revitalize the hometown love donation system.

On the afternoon of the 16th, Jeonju Mayor Woo Beom-gi visited Buan-gun Office and had a chat with County Mayor Kwon Ik-hyeon to discuss activating the hometown love donation system and promoting friendly relations between cities and counties.

At this meeting, Mayor Woo Beom-gi said, "I hope that Jeonju City and Buan-gun can achieve synergy to develop together through the hometown love donation system." I ask for publicity so that I can do it," he said of his donation.

Kwon Ik-hyeon, Mayor of Buan-gun, said, "The special relationship with the same hometown has opened the way for exchange between the two regions, and I consider Jeonju to be the hometown of my heart." I hope that a catalyst for the spread of donations and a healthy donation culture will spread."

He added, "I look forward to activating exchanges and cooperation in more diverse fields and serving as a priming water for revitalizing the local economy and coexisting development."

On the other hand, Jeonju Mayor Woo Beom-gi deposited a donation to love his hometown in Buan-gun at NH Nonghyup Bank prior to the meeting, and Kwon Ik-hyeon, Buan-gun City, also supported the development of Jeonju, and cross donations were made.

Mayor Woo and County Mayor Kwon share a common point of being elected as the head of the local government as their hometowns in Baeksan-myeon, which was the second base of the Donghak Peasant Revolutionary Army, to the extent that there is a saying, 'If you sit down, it is Juksan, and if you write, it is Baeksan.' In that it has a denominator, this mutual cross-donation has a special meaning.

Introduced in January of this year, the 'Hometown Love Donation System' is accumulated as a local finance expansion fund and used for projects to promote the welfare of residents when donations of up to 5 million won per year are made to all local governments nationwide, excluding the local government where the individual resides.

Donations of less than KRW 100,000 are entitled to a 16.5% tax deduction for donations in excess of KRW 100,000.

Local governments can give donors gifts in return within 30% of the donation amount.

To participate in the Hometown Love Donation Program, you can participate by registering yourself, paying donations, and selecting a return gift at a nearby Nonghyup Bank (including local Nonghyup) or Hometown Love e-eum.
