전국 최초로 대학교 신입생을 대상으로 반값등록금을 지급한 전북 부안군 (재)근농인재육성재단이 개미군단의 힘으로 일궈낸 장학금으로 7일 4개 분야에 선발된 1,071명에게 10억 6,700만 원을 수여했다.

이번에 선발된 장학생들은 3월 16일부터 4월 13일까지 ▲ 반값등록금 ▲ 다자녀장학금 ▲ 특기장학금 ▲ 대학 비진학 창업 및 취업을 위한 학원비지원금 등 4개 분야에 신청서를 제출했다.

 

지난달 24일 개최한 (재)근농인재육성재단 제2차 이사회에서 자격요건 및 서류 검토ㆍ중복 심사 절차를 거쳐 최종 확정됐다.

 

권익현(이사장) 군수는 "지역 인재 육성을 위해 따뜻한 나눔을 실천하고 있는 후원자 및 재단 임원 모두에게 진심으로 감사하다"며 "장학증서는 단순한 종이 한 장이 아니라 여러분의 노력과 열정ㆍ꿈을 향한 도전을 응원하는 군민의 믿음과 기대가 담긴 소중한 약속"이라고 밝혔다.
