전북자치도 김제시가 청년 농업인의 영농 초기 불안정한 소득을 뒷받침하고 농업분야 진출 촉진을 위해 재정 지원을 대폭 강화한다.

 

김제시는 "청년들이 농업을 미래 산업으로 인식하고 농촌의 주역의 성장할 수 있도록 임대형 스마트팜 청년농업인 경영안정을 위한 지원 사업을 추진한다"고 20일 밝혔다.

 

오는 3월부터 추진하는 청년보육 및 기술혁신 지원은 임대형 스마트팜에 입주한 예비 청년농(29명)을 대상으로 총 사업비 1억3,000만원(자부담 없는 100%보조)이 투입된다.

 

특히 매년 물류비와 경영ㆍ기술 컨설팅 등을 지원, 향후 초기 창업의 경제적 부담을 줄이고 영농 역량을 강화할 수 있도록 지원한다.

 

지난 2021년부터 20개월의 전문 보육과정을 거친 예비 청년 농업인들을 우선 대상으로 선정, 시행착오를 최소화하는 동시에 재배경험과 경영 노하우를 쌓아 성공적인 창업과 지역정을 유도를 위해 임대형 스마트팜(2동 10개 구획)을 운영하고 있다.

 

김제 스마트팜 혁신밸리는 '스마트팜'에 특화된 미래 농업의 인재 육성과 농산물의 안정된 생산 및 품질관리로 경쟁력 있고 지속가능한 농업을 구현할 수 있는 기반 조성이라는 비전을 바탕으로 구축됐다.
