전북자치도 부안군과 산림청 국립수목원이 지역 정원소재 개발과 생물다양성 보전 공동 추진을 골자로 27일 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고 두 손을 맞잡았다.

 

이날 부안군청 5층 대회실에서 체결된 업무협약식에는 권익현 군수와 임영석 국립수목원장과 양측 주요 관계자 등이 참석했다.

'위도상사화'는 1996년 부안군 위도에서 최초로 발견된 희귀식물로 현재 부안군의 대표 식물자원으로 자리 잡고 있다.

 

부안군은 농업기술센터를 통해 증식 기술을 개발해 활용 가능성을 넓혀왔으며 매년 늦여름 '위도상사화 축제'를 개최해 생태관광 자원으로 가치를 높이고 있다.
